According to preliminary data from the Vietnam Pepper Association (VPSA), in the first 15 days of September 2024, Vietnam exported a total of 6,917 tons of pepper. The total export turnover during this period reached 42.3 million USD.
These figures highlight Vietnam’s continued strong presence in the global pepper market, driven by high demand for its quality spices.
For import, Vietnam imported 706 tons of pepper, with a total import value of 3.7 million USD. Indonesia and Brazil remain the two main suppliers of pepper to Vietnam, providing 359 tons and 245 tons, respectively.
