1. Exports

According to the preliminary statistics of the VPSA, in February 2025, Vietnam exported a total of 14,331 tons of various types of pepper, including:

  •  11,858 tons of black pepper
  •  2,473 tons of white pepper

The total export value reached 97.3 million USD. Compared to the previous month, the export volume increased by 9.5%, and compared to the same period in 2024, exports increased by 5.4%.

The average export price of black pepper in February was 6,668 USD/ton, which is a 0.6% increase, while white pepper reached 8,535 USD/ton, a 0.8% increase compared to January 2025.

The United States continued to be the largest export market for Vietnamese pepper, with 3,006 tons, an increase of 4.2% compared to January. Other markets include:

  • Germany: 905 tons (a slight decrease of 0.5%)
  • UAE: 870 tons (an increase of 42.6%)

2. Imports

According to preliminary statistics from VPSA, in February 2025, Vietnam imported a total of 2,929 tons of pepper, including:

  •  1,716 tons of black pepper
  • 1,213 tons of white pepper

The total import value reached 15.9 million USD, with imports increasing by 61.2% compared to the previous month.

Indonesia and Brazil were the two main suppliers of pepper to Vietnam, with:

  • 1,392 tons from Indonesia
  • 1,065 tons from Brazil
