According to preliminary statistics from VPSA, in January 2025, Vietnam exported a total of 13,085 tons of pepper of all kinds, including 10,502 tons of black pepper and 2,583 tons of white pepper. The total export value reached 87.7 million USD, representing a 14.3% decrease compared to December 2024 and a 26.4% decrease compared to the same period in 2024. The average export price for black pepper during the month was 6,626 USD/ton, while white pepper reached 8,467 USD/ton, marking a 2.3% increase for black pepper and a 3.3% increase for white pepper compared to the previous month.
Meanwhile, the United States remained Vietnam s largest pepper export market, with 2,884 tons exported, a 36.0% decrease compared to the previous month. Notably, exports to the German market surged by 122.0%, reaching 910 tons.
